Thank you for allowing SEBTS to partner with you to provide the highest level of practical theological experience possible for future leaders! Below you will find some information to assist you in preparing for each semester.
Before the Semester
Each equip Center has an individualized plan depending on the level of partnership and qualifications of the pastoral staff. If you have questions about your plan please contact the equip Office at (919) 761-2460 or equip@sebts.edu
Registration normally occurs well in advance of the semester. Therefore, the equip Office will need a list of the interns who desire to gain credit and have been approved by the equip Center as early as possible. The students will be registered for the class you indicate as soon as we receive a list. Note that a list of students that will participate in the internship must be submitted via email (equip@sebts.edu) to the equip Office prior to the beginning of the semester. After this date, the students may be charged a fee to add the class.
The equip Center must submit updated syllabi for each class every semester. Guidelines for the Field Ministry syllabi are available by following the link below. In addition, the equip Leader who is the professor of record for the class should also note the SEBTS Faculty Handbook instructions on completing course syllabi. You will find a form which summarizes syllabus standards here. associated with the course number below. The equip Office must receive the course syllabi for each course (including Field Ministry) no later than two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.
After the Semester
The equip Leader is responsible to grade all student work and return all materials to the equip Office. All grades must be received no later than one week after the last day of the semester.
In addition, the equip Leader must complete an evaluation form for each participant in the field ministry portion of the partnership. You can find the evaluation here.
