Admissions Information

A master of divinity or its equivalent with a GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4-point scale is required for admission to the Ph.D. program at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Many M.Div.'s do not require certain core courses which are prerequisite to entrance into the Ph.D. program at Southeastern. In some cases, applicants with an M.Div. may still need to take courses to meet Southeastern's prerequisite requirements. Such M.Div.-level prerequisite courses are measured by a selection of the foundational core classes of Southeastern's M.Div., in accordance with the most recent catalog review. Direct all materials, as well as all transcripts and MAT (Miller Analogy Test) scores, to the Office of Ph.D. by the application deadline. Include a $30.00 application fee—checks should be made out to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
