In order to be admitted into any of the four programs offered by the Biblical Women’s Institute, one of the following two processes must be followed:
Southeastern's Biblical Woman's Institute offers four programs, each designed to meet a different need among women preparing for ministry.
Certificate in Women's Studies | Advanced Certificate in Women's Studies | Diploma in Women's Studies | Certificate in Women's Studies with International Missions
Certificate in Women’s Studies
Students must complete nine BWI classes. Seven classes are from the required courses while the remaining two classes are electives.

WST5810 Biblical Foundations for the Minister’s Wife
WST0130 Christian Doctrine
WST0250 Biblical Theology of Womanhood
WST0110 Old Testament Survey 1
WST0112 Old Testament Survey 2
WST0120 New Testament Survey 1
WST0122 New Testament Survey 2
A 3 hour course taken in the Seminary or College may be substituted for 2 BWI elective classes if approved by the Director of Women’s Life. Students may complete Certificate in less than two years if more than one class is taken per term.
Advanced Certificate in Women’s Studies
Students must complete twelve BWI classes. Nine classes are from the required courses while the remaining three classes are electives.

Certificate in Women's Studies with International Missions
According to the IMB Office of Global Strategy, after January 1, 2014, "All apprentice applicants, including head of household and spouse, will be required to have a minimum of 12 hours of seminary credit from an approved, graduated level theological institution prior to being approved by the trustees.
In lieu of the above requirements, the IMB has approved wives of Apprentice Missionaries to fulfill the class requirements through the Biblical Women's Institute. The wives will be awarded a Certificate in Women's Studies with International Missions at the completion of eight courses below:

2 Elective Courses
BWI offers several elective courses that will benefit women who are preparing to go overseas. For example, courses such as Preparing for Missions, Introduction to Missions, Church Planting I and/or II, Women and Evangelism, Spiritual Disciplines, Counseling Women, and Biblical Foundations for the Minister's Wife.
