With our confession in mind, Southeastern’s faculty attempts to develop five Core Competencies in students through a Southeastern education. Every student should seek to develop in…
Spiritual Formation Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue an authentically Christian way of life, manifested by trust in God, obedience to Christ’s commands, and love of God and neighbor.
Biblical Exposition Demonstrate the ability to properly and effectively interpret, apply, and communicate the Scriptures.
Theological Integration Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply the doctrines of Christianity to life and ministry.
Ministry Preparation Demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and Christian disposition necessary for ministry and leadership in the church and the world.
Critical Thinking and Communication Demonstrate the ability to think critically, argue persuasively, and communicate clearly.
We strive to do all of this while cultivating in students a delight in God, His Word, and His Church.
Southeastern’s Certificate of Business as Mission(s) is a 7-course program of study offered to anyone desiring to learn basic proficiency in the area of Business as Mission(s). These courses will be offered in specific sections of online classes, and in some specific sections of on-campus classes. This program can be completed 100% online, or through a combination of online and specific on-campus course offerings. The program is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the schedule of working students, as well as those with family responsibilities.
Through this program, students will be exposed to the various of aspects encountered in the field of Business as Mission(s). These courses will provide a framework for developing a missiologically and theologically driven ministry plan, to coincide with an existing business plan. Courses will include a strong biblical and theological foundation for conducting a strategy in missional entrepreneurship.
When combined with proper leveling course work (and payment for 2 additional hours of credit), credits earned in the Certificate in Business as Mission(s) can be applied toward other degrees at Southeastern.
