Doctor of Ministry

Lead with Excellence

It’s no secret: you can accomplish more in ministry with a team pulling alongside you. With our Doctor of Ministry program at Southeastern, you will be a part of a learning community that includes your peers, experienced field mentors, world-class faculty scholars and expert guest practitioners, all dedicated to helping you engage critical ministry and kingdom issues.

Our Doctor of Ministry is a professional program that trains students to minister, preach, and lead with spiritual insight and theological depth. Students are taught and mentored by scripturally-committed professors nationally recognized for their expertise.

The D.Min. will challenge and stretch you as it encourages you to accomplish more in Kingdom work, whether you serve in pastoral leadership, missions, denominational leadership or any number of areas.

The Program

Our 32-hour program is founded on key principles of cohort learning and expert mentorship. You will learn from fellow students as you take seminars together and form lifelong friendships. The program also includes significant time spent with faculty and field mentors, as well as guest practitioners, who can answer your questions and give guidance in difficult situations.

Coursework is structured to allow you to continue effective ministry in the field while in the program. Attend four intensive, five-day on-campus workshops and one two-day worskshop (just prior to your third seminar) and participate in courses with online components. On-campus time is only 4.5 weeks over the entire program, which will take many students three years to complete.

Our curriculum is intentionally designed to help you build expertise while practically applying what you have learned directly to your ministry context. Thorough research and study will produce important contributions to the church.
