Don't Repeat Your College Classes!
The Southeastern Collegiate Partnership (SCP) helps reduce course duplication for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in theological education or taken classes equivalent to those in the M.Div. or M.A. core.
Eligible students are given the option to either take exams to receive credit or replace the courses with higher level electives. Whether students choose to take the test or an elective course, they earn 3 graduate credit hours per test/course toward the completion of a degree. Credit earned through SCP exams is $42/credit hour.

Frequently Asked Questions
Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in theological education at a regionally accredited school and received an ‘A' or ‘B' in courses comparable to those in our M.Div. and M.A. core are eligible to participate. A list of M.Div. core classes may be found online in the latest SEBTS course catalog.
Any credits you earn through the SCP are transferable and will appear as three credit hours on your transcript.
Your eligibility for the SCP is determined by a transcript evaluation. If you have already been accepted to SEBTS and would like your transcripts evaluated please use the form below. If you have not been accepted and would like to have your transcripts evaluated please contact Sydney Levi, the SCP student advisor, at 919-761-2284 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
No. It doesn't matter what school you are coming from as long as the school is regionally accredited. Any courses you have taken covering the same material as courses in the SEBTS M.Div. core can count toward eligibility.
SCP Exams are available all year and are completely online. Once you have registered for a test, the exam will be available on your Moodle page like any other class. To register for an SCP exam please contact Sydney Levi, the SCP student advisor, at 919-761-2284 or at email@example.com.
Once students sign up for a exam, they have 60 days to complete it before it closes and they are removed from the class. Students must complete all tests prior to the start of their last semester of seminary.
All SCP exams are pass/fail. Passing means the student has received a score of 70% or higher. Students are not awarded a grade, and therefore, their GPA is not affected.
