The Lewis A. Drummond Center for Great Commission Studies (CGCS) is the hub of Southeastern's Great Commission efforts, helping develop students and faculty members who are Great Commission servants of their local churches. The CGCS serves the Southeastern community in four major areas: academics, research, mobilization, and convention relationships.
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary seeks to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping students to serve the Church and fulfill the Great Commission.
Welcome to The Lewis A. Drummond Center for Great Commission Studies.
The God-given task of global mission has never been more challenging. As we charge into the twenty-first century, we do so with our minds set on fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ in our generation.
To that end and regardless of degree program, Southeastern is equipping students to be effective for Christ as they are exposed to God's heartbeat for the world.
One of the ways we do this is by sponsoring mission trips that offer course credit while giving students opportunities to receive practical, multicultural and life-changing mission experience.
Led by our Center for Great Commission Studies, we do not sit on the sidelines. Our mission efforts are focused on sharing the gospel with every man, woman and child on the planet for the glory of God.
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20
