Program Choices for BWI

Southeastern's Biblical Woman's Institute offers four programs, each designed to meet a different need among women preparing for ministry.

Certificate in Women's Studies | Advanced Certificate in Women's Studies  |  Diploma in Women's Studies  | Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma in International Missions

Certificate in Women’s Studies

To qualify for the Certificate in Women’s Studies, students must complete seven classes. Five classes are from the required courses while the remaining two classes are electives. The certificate can be earned within two years if the student enrolls in one class each term.

Courses are offered in seven week terms: Term 1 and Term 2 (August - December), and Term 3 and Term 4 (January - May).

A 3 hour course taken in the Seminary or College may be substituted for 2 BWI elective classes if approved by the Director of Women’s Life. Students may complete Certificate in less than two years if more than one class is taken per term.

Advanced Certificate in Women’s Studies

To qualify for the Advanced Certificate in Women’s Studies, students must complete ten BWI classes. Seven classes are from the required courses while the remaining three classes are electives. The advanced certificate can be earned within three years if the student enrolls in one class each term.

Courses are offered in seven week terms: Term 1 and Term 2 (August - December), and Term 3 and Term 4 (January - May).
