NSO for Southeastern Seminary

Orientation Checklist

Housing - if you are planning to live in campus housing please contact the Housing Office to make arrangements at 919.761.2400, housing@sebts.edu or visit the website.

Financial Aid – You may begin applying for financial assistance, please make sure to check out the website for time sensitive deadlines or contact the Financial Aid office at 919.761.2317.

Employment – Check out employment opportunities once you are accepted to Southeastern by visiting the website or contact the Student Resources office by email at studentresources@sebts.edu or 919.761.2317 for more information.

CampusNet – Familiarize yourself with CampusNet, the student portal where you will find information on Moodle, Around Southeastern (the SEBTS campus blog), Student Life, helpful forms, and your Southeastern 1Card by clicking here.

Distance Learning Students – Please visit the “Approved for Admission, what next?” section of the Distance Learning website for more information or contact the office at online@sebts.edu or 1-866.816.0273.

Credit Only Certificate Students – Please contact the respective office on how to register and to receive more information regarding your certificate.

Mark your calendar:

  • Thursday, August 15-Friday, August 16:  Graduate New Student Orientation dates for Summer or Fall enrollment (both days and all events are required)
  • Monday, August 19:  Fall 2013 classes begin

What is New Student Orientation? 

Orientation is a mandatory event for all new degree-seeking students who are enrolling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary for the upcoming semester. During NSO, students will learn important policies and procedures, meet for academic advisement, and finalize all logistics needed for enrollment. There is a new student fee of $100.00, which must be paid when you RSVP.

Register Now!

All degree-seeking students-- on-campus and Distance Learning-- and any other student who plans to attend New Student Orientation must register for NSO.

When will I register for classes?

Based on your NSO Registration, you will be sent Online Pre-Orientation and Early Course Registration to complete in which you will update contact information, enter vehicle information, register for classes and make payment (or set up a FACTS payment plan). If you have trouble completing the Online Orientation and Course Registration process, you will need to take care of all details in person on Friday, August 16 during Matriculation.

Completed NSO registrants will be given access to Online Orientation and Early Course Registration on:

  • Register between January 1-June 9:      June 10
  • Register between June 10-June 30:        July 1
  • Register between July 1-July 31:           August 1
  • Register between August 1-August 8:    August 9
  • Register after August 9: Complete all steps during New Student Orientation

Please note: Students who complete Online Pre-Orientation and Early Course Registration are still required to attend New Student Orientation on August 15-16.
