For Singles
Since Southeastern has a large number of singles in our housing areas, we are committed to providing a variety of housing options to meet the needs of the single students who attend. Southeastern offers dorm spaces, shared apartment housing and apartment housing with private bedrooms, as well as opportunities to rent an entire apartment by yourself.
For single student housing for students age 30 and over:
Students ages 30-35 can rent single student housing flat rate apartments or rooms in the Shaw House with other students ages 30-35 (where available) or rent a private apartment (subletting permitted only to other students ages 30-35).
Single students 36 years or older can rent a private apartment in campus housing (subletting not permitted).

Housing Options for Single Students
Southeastern offers a variety of housing options to accommodate single male and female seminary students. We have rent plans to fit just about any need or budget.
Single Dorm Housing - Shared Dorm Room
Share a dorm-style apartment with three other students at the McDowell Townhouses.
- Sleeping arrangement - share large bedroom with three other students on two sets of bunk beds.
- Utilities included (Electric, Water, Sewer)
- Optional Utilities (Phone, Cable TV, Internet)
- Furnished apartment
- Bedroom furniture includes beds, dressers and closet space for four students.
- There is a study room with four work stations, two shelves and desk chairs provided.
- The living room has a sofa, chair, coffee table, and end table with lamp. Television is not included.
- The kitchen has a stove and a refrigerator.
- Dining area has a dining table with chairs.
- A washer and dryer are included in the apartment.
- Bath facilities: one bathroom
- All singles apartments (except for private apartments) will be inspected for basic cleanliness or damages four times per year. All inspections are announced in advance.
Single Female Apartment Housing - Shared Bedroom - 2-Bedroom Flat Rate
Share a bedroom in an apartment in Flaherty Farms.
- Utilities included (Electric, Water, Sewer)
- Optional utilities (Phone, Cable, Internet)
- Apartment is unfurnished.
- There is one designated parking space for each apartment and unassigned/undesignated parking spaces for other vehicles.
- There are four students assigned to each apartment.
- If there are fewer than the maximum number of occupants living in the apartment, you may be required to move to another apartment.
- All singles' apartments (except for private apartments) will be inspected for basic cleanliness or damages four times a year. All inspections are announced in advance.
Single Male Apartment Housing - Shared Bedroom - 2-Bedroom Flat Rate
Share a bedroom with one other person in a two-bedroom apartment in Flaherty Farms or Goldston Hall.
- Utilities included (Electric, Water, Sewer)
- Optional utilities (Phone, Cable, Internet)
- Apartment is unfurnished.
- At Flaherty Farms, there is one designated parking space for each apartment and unassigned/undesignated parking spaces for other vehicles. Goldston Hall has a designated parking lot or street parking.
- There are four students assigned to each apartment.
- If there are fewer than the maximum number of occupants living in the apartment, you may be required to move to another apartment.
- All singles' apartments (except for private apartments) will be inspected for basic cleanliness or damages four times a year. All inspections are announced in advance.
Private Bedroom Options for Singles (male or female)
Have a private bedroom in a 3-bedroom apartment in Flaherty Farms. (Note: Individual rooms are not assigned. They are filled on a first-come, first-served basis)
- Master bedroom has a private bathroom
- The other two bedrooms share the hall bath
- Utilities included (Electric, Water, Sewer)
- Apartment is unfurnished.
- There is one designated parking space for each apartment and unassigned/undesignated parking spaces for other vehicles.
- There are three students assigned to the apartment.
- If there are fewer than the maximum number of occupants living in the apartment, you may be required to move to another apartment.

Private Apartment Housing
Rent an apartment by yourself.
- Apartment rent rates are the same as Family Housing Rent Rates.
- Apartment is unfurnished
- Occupants are responsible for paying the utilities. Occupants must have electric, water and sewer utilities put in their names within five business days of signing their Housing Agreement.
- The occupant may sublet to another student with the permission of the Director of Housing.
- Note: At Flaherty Farms and West Oak there is one designated parking space for each apartment and unassigned/undesignated parking spaces for other vehicles.
