Lifeway Campus Bookstore

Our Lifeway Campus Bookstore usually has books 3-4 weeks prior to a course being offered. They will sell most "Required" textbooks to students with a 20% discount. If you live in the 48 contiguous states, you can ask them to ship your books to you for a small fee. If you are an international student, you can ask them to hold your books until Distance Learning can pick them up and ship them to you internationally. You can contact our Lifeway Campus Bookstore at 919-556-3481.

Software

PDF: Many professor post resources as .PDF files. You will need a .PDF viewer to access these resources. We recommend the Adobe Reader available for download here.

Word Processing: Nearly all professors require assignments which must be typed or opened with a word processor. Our professors use Microsoft Word 2007 and require assignments to be submitted in that format. Students may purchase Word 2007 at a student discount from stores like Academicsuperstore.com. OpenOffice.org Writer is a free alternative that can open and save Microsoft Word documents. It is available as a free download here.

Presentation Software: Some professors post resources that are Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 presentations. A free PowerPoint viewer is available from Microsoft here. OpenOffice.org Impress is a free presentation software that can open and save Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. It is available as a free download here.

iTunes: All of our online lectures are available through iTunesU. Students will need to install iTunes on their computer. The free download is available here. Students DO NOT have to sign up for an iTunes account NOR provide credit card information to Apple. Students will be provided with a secure link that logs the student in to their iTunesU class and provides the lectures free of charge.
