The Library subscribes to a variety of databases that provide full-text access to resources and that support the curriculum.
Current faculty, students and staff must access these databases by logging in to CAMPUSNET and selecting the Library tab.
Academic Search Premier is a multidisciplinary database that provides full text and abstracts for more than 4,500 journals, including peer-reviewed titles.
ATLA Religion Index supports religious and theological scholarship in graduate education and faculty research. It contains thousands of citations from international titles and multi-author works in the field of religion going back to 1924. It includes a full range of index citations to journal articles, essays in multi-author works, and book reviews. It also provides sermon preparation resources with illustrations and lectionary resources.
Catholic Periodical and Literature Index is the product of a partnership between ATLA and the Catholic Library Association. The database covers all aspects of the Catholic faith and lifestyle, and includes over 436,000 index citations of articles and reviews published in Roman Catholic periodicals, Papal documents, church promulgations, and books about the Catholic faith that are authored by Catholics and/or produced by Catholic publishers. Indexing for CPLI Online corresponds to the print version, The Catholic Periodical and Literature Index, published by the Catholic Library Association and covers content from over 200 periodicals. Coverage in the database dates back to 1981.
Dissertation Abstracts selectively covers master’s theses and dissertations from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, and Europe in the humanities going back to 1861 and provides the pdf full text.
GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,700 records.
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) indexes journals, books, research reports and proceedings relating to librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, and information management. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.
New Testament Abstracts Online is an indispensable database of research and bibliographic aid for scholars, librarians, clergy and students of the New Testament and its historical milieu going back to 1985. The database contains abstracts of articles, reviews, books, and software.
Old Testament Abstracts Online features indexing and abstracts for journal articles, monographs, multi-author works, and software related to Old Testament studies going back to 1978. Topics covered include antiquities, archaeology, biblical theology, and philology.
Philosopher's Index is a current and comprehensive bibliographic database covering scholarly research in all major fields of philosophy. The Philosopher's Index is considered the most thorough index of journal literature on the subject. It features author-written abstracts covering scholarly research published in journals and books, including contributions to anthologies and book reviews. The Philosopher's Index contains research published since 1940.
