Women's Life

BECAUSE JESUS CAME SHE GOES

The Women's Life Office seeks to support the mission of Southeastern and the Student Life Division by providing discipleship, spiritual formation, care, counsel, community and shepherding to female students and student wives for the purpose of promoting whole-life flourishing in the maximum number of college and seminary students and families.

Women's Life Blog

The Women's Life blog posts articles Monday through Friday written by women for women in every stage of life. It not only seeks to encourage women but also challenges them to be like Christ in every area of their lives. If you are interested in learning more about how to write for our blog please contact Sarah in the Women’s Life Office at womenslife@sebts.edu.

Events

Events for the Southeastern woman come in many different forms. We have Connecting Point, which offers events and opportunities for all women at Southeastern to connect and grow together. We invite all female students, student and faculty wives, as well as female staff or staff wives to join us at these events. We also have other events throughout the semester such as our All Women’s Chapel that is hosted in both the fall and spring and Brown Bag Lunches, which occur throughout the semester.

Graduate Studies

Southeastern also offers graduate programs with a concentration in women’s studies. Within the Master of Divinity or Master of Arts programs, a woman may concentrate in women's studies in order to prepare for Christian leadership positions. These degrees prepare women for a wide variety of family and mission ministries in the following areas: church staff and denominational positions in women's ministry, missions, evangelism, teaching and advocacy work. For more information regarding graduate studies for women, contact the Student Development Office at 1-800-284-6317 or fill out our information request form.

Biblical Women's Institute (BWI)

BWI houses four non-degree courses of study designed specifically for women in local churches who want more training as well as for those who are preparing to be the wife of a minister. We also have certificates that fulfill the IMB spouse education requirement. Classes are available on-campus or online.

Ladies Engaging and Discipling Women (LEAD)

LEAD {women} is a ministry of Southeastern that serves the women of North Carolina's local churches while providing valuable, practical ministry experience for Southeastern's female students.

Thrive Mentoring Program

Thrive is an opportunity for Southeastern women to participate for one school year (two semesters) in intentional mentoring by select women associated with Southeastern. Southeastern ladies may select a mentor or be paired with one and the two will meet for the specific purpose of practical and spiritual guidance and growth.
