Commuter and Intensive Housing

Eligibility:

Family commuter housing is designed primarily to assist students who commute to campus with their family from some distance and need lodging related to classes in which they are enrolled. Due to limited space, reservation requests must be made at least 5 business days in advance of your planned stay. Pets are not permitted.

If plans change and a student comes alone without their family, the student needs to notify the housing office before their arrival. We have a very limited number of family commuter apartments, and it is important to keep them available for students coming with their families. We have other commuter options for students traveling without their families.

Current students living in campus housing who have guests coming to visit are welcome to reserve one commuter apartment per event (i.e. wedding, new baby, etc.). Contact the housing office at 919-761-2400 for more details about this option.

Note: Handicap accessible accommodations are available on a limited basis. Applications for accessible commuter housing should be submitted at least 45 days in advance of your planned stay.

Check in / out:

Check in is at 11:00am. Check out is at 10:00am.

Cost:

• 1-8 consecutive nights: $70.00/night
• 9-15 consecutive nights: $600.00 flat rate
• 16-21 consecutive nights: $900.00 flat rate
• 22-31 consecutive nights: $1,200.00 flat rate

The rent will be charged to the applicant’s seminary account, which is payable in the Accounting Services Office. Non-student applicants, when approved by the Director of Housing, are required to pay their rent in advance of their stay at the Housing Office.

Cancellation Policy:

To forgo all rent charges, notice must be given in writing to the Housing Office by the end of the last business day prior to the night reserved.

Amenities:

• 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment furnished with a queen bed, two twin beds, nightstands, dressers, living room furniture, and dining room furniture.
• There is a kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher.
• Wireless Internet is provided.
• Cookware, dishes, towels, linens, and pillows are not furnished.
• Television and phone access are not provided.

General Information:

Availability is limited, and only students enrolled in the current semester are eligible to make reservations. Reservation requests must be made to the housing office at least 5 business days in advance of your planned stay. Rooms will be shared with one other commuting student, and pets are not permitted.

• 1-5 consecutive night stay is $56.00/night per person
• 6-15 consecutive night stay is $300.00 flat rate per person
• 16-21 consecutive night stay is $450.00 flat rate per person
• 22-31 consecutive night stay is $600.00 flat rate per person

The rent will be charged to the applicant’s seminary account, which is payable in the Accounting Services Office.

• There are two private bathrooms for every four rooms.
• There is a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and microwave located in the common area.
• Cookware, dishes, towels, linens, and pillows are not furnished.
• Television is provided in the lobby of the dorm.
• Wireless internet is provided.
• A card-operated laundry facility is located in building.

General Information:

Students must be enrolled in the current semester, and reservation requests must be made to the housing office at least 5 business days in advance of your planned stay. When you choose this option, the housing office reserves and pays for the room, then charges your student account for the stay. The rent will be charged to the applicant’s seminary account, which is payable in the Accounting Services Office.

The terms of this agreement are very specific. If they are not suitable for your situation, you should make your own reservation through Hampton Inn or another local hotel at their regular rates.

Check in / out:

Check in at Hampton Inn is at 3:00 p.m. Check out is at 11:00 a.m.

To avoid additional charges, students must check out by posted hotel check out time.

Cost:

• $120/night

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations are possible provided written notice is received by 3:00 p.m. the last business day prior to the scheduled stay.

Location and Amenities:
