Mission & Purpose

The L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture seeks to engage culture as salt and light, presenting and defending the Christian faith and demonstrating its implications for all areas of human existence.

The Center has a two-fold purpose: (1) To convey graciously and apply effectively the Christian worldview to all areas of culture and to the human condition; (2) To encourage and support the Church in its redemptive work.

All About God- A web-based organization seeking to provide answers to skeptics and believers alike.  Site offers articles and video on various topics from Biblical studies to world religions to archaeology. exists to remove intellectual impediments to Christian faith, thereby enhancing believers’ confidence in, and weakening skeptics’ objections to, the gospel message. Site offers articles, periodical archives, a radio show and discussion board. 

Apologetics Information Ministry- AIM strives to provide solid Biblical teaching on many pertinent issues. Sites offers a variety of information on Christian doctrine, apologetics, cults, the occult, world religions, and non-Christian philosophies through articles, bibliographies and radio show archives.

Apologetics Resource Center- The Apologetics Resource Center’s purpose is to reach the minds and hearts of people with the message and truth claims of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Its mission is also to equip Christians with a culturally relevant apologetic, enabling them to have a deeper level of personal faith, contend for that faith, and to enter arenas of resistance and reclaim ground lost to skepticism, secularism, and other alien philosophies.

Be Thinking- Website aimed at putting the best Christian thinking and resources into its readers’ hands.  Site includes hundreds of articles and audio files and organized by level of difficulty.

Break Point- BreakPoint is the worldview ministry of PFM. Their mission is to seek the transformation of believers as they apply biblical thinking to all of life, enabling them to transform their communities through the grace and truth of Jesus Christ. BreakPoint provides a Christian perspective on today’s news and trends.  Site offers articles and bibliographies.

Centre for Public Christianity- A research and media organization promoting the public understanding of the Christian faith.

Chesterton House-Center exists to facilitate discovery of the intellectual riches of the historic Christian faith, thereby empowering more faithful Christian living.  Site offers articles, audio, bibliography, movie reviews and links to periodicals.

Christian Answers- Site seeks to provide biblical answers to contemporary questions for all ages and nationalities with over 45-thousand files.

Christian Information Ministries- Christian Information Ministries is a parachurch organization committed to securing pertinent information for the Christian community which will answer and support a viable Biblical foundation for the organization and the individual believer. C. I. M. provides a Biblical perspective on a wide variety of topics. Site offers articles and links to other websites.

C.S. Lewis Foundation - Inspired by the life and legacy of C.S. Lewis, the C.S. Lewis Foundation is dedicated to advancing the renewal of Christian thought and creative expression throughout the world of learning and the culture at large.

Gary Habermas - A lifetime of work on one website on the resurrection and other apologetics concerns.  Site offers books, book chapters, journal articles, audio and video resources.

J. P. Moreland - Personal website of philosopher and apologist, J. P. Moreland. Site offers access to Moreland's blog, book and audio resources, and much more.

L'Abri Fellowship International - L'Abri is a French word that means shelter. The first L'Abri community was founded in Switzerland in 1955 by Dr. Francis Schaeffer and his wife, Edith. Dr. Schaeffer was a Christian theologian and philosopher who also authored a number of books on theology, philosophy, general culture and the arts.

The L'Abri communities are study centers in Europe, Asia and America where individuals have the opportunity to seek answers to honest questions about God and the significance of human life. L'Abri believes that Christianity speaks to all aspects of life.

Leadership University- Their mission is to provide answers to many of science’s, religion’s and life’s weightier issues free of charge.  A searchable collection of resources and interactive opportunities containing thousands of articles, reviews, research papers, essays, books & book chapters, commentaries, video & audio files, poems and more.

Lee Strobel- A website of short videos on a multitude of apologetic subjects by various speakers.  Site also offers archived newsletter articles.

Legacy of Truth- Legacy of Truth is committed to confirming and defending the gospel of Truth.  This will be achieved by training individuals to be spiritually and intellectually prepared to respond to the ideas and philosophies that pervade the various social systems in the world today. Site offers articles, papers and resources for teachers and students. 

Ravi Zacharias International Ministries- RZIM addresses the intellectual and essential assumptions of our culture, realizing that for some, the door to the heart is through the mind, and for others through the imagination.  Site offers audio, video, articles, newsletter archives and essays. 

Reason Why- A Scottish apologetics ministry dedicated to strengthening the belief of Christians and interacting with non-Christians who are interested in matters of faith and understanding. Site offers short essays and audio clips from apologetic seminars.  

Reasonable Faith- Dr. William Lane Craig’s website containing debates, articles, and videos.   

Summit Ministries- Summit Ministries is an educational Christian ministry whose goal is to train Christians to stand strong in their faith, defend truth and positively influence society. Site offers articles, book reviews, fact sheets, lectures, worldview chart, worldview dictionary and links to off-site articles.  

The Ankerberg Theological Research Institute- Website of TV program host, Dr. John Ankerberg covering many apologetic subjects.  Site offers articles, videos library, and radio program archives. 

The Trinity Foundation- The purpose of the foundation is to counteract the irrationalism of the age and the idea that we do not and cannot know the truth.  Site offers lectures series and MP3 downloads.

The Veritas Forum- Veritas Forums are university events that engage students and faculty in discussions about life’s hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life. Sites offers lectures and articles. 

4 Truth.Net- 4 Truth.Net covers the basics in apologetics: God, Jesus, Bible, Science, World Religions and Cults in a clear and concise manner.  Site offers articles.

Mars Hill Audio - Mars Hill Audio is committed to assisting Christians who desire to move from thoughtless consumption of contemporary culture to a vantage point of thoughtful engagement.


Theoecology Journal - is a group of theologians and scientists brought together with the purpose of glorifying God by loving Him and caring for His creation. 

Foundation for Research on Economics and the Environment (FREE) -  is an organization devoted to social change that harmonizes environmental quality with responsible liberty and economic progress.  Economics and scientific analysis are applied to generate and explore alternative and innovative solutions to environmental problems.  Site offers articles and archives of former publications on environmental issues.  

Cornwall Alliance- A coalition of clergy, theologians, religious leaders, scientists, academics, policy experts, and others, the Cornwall Alliance is committed to bringing a proper and balanced biblical view of stewardship to the critical issues of environment and development.  Site offers articles and blog.

Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity- Exploring the nexus of biomedicine, biotechnology and our common humanity. Site offers articles, bibliographies, book reviews, movie reviews, case studies and links.

Forum for Christian Thought- The purpose of this site is to encourage meaningful dialogue regarding the searching questions of life and to bring theology to bear upon contemporary cultural issues.  Site offers essays and recommendations.

Access Research Network- ARN is an organization dedicated to providing accessible information on science, technology and society from an intelligent design perspective.We focus on such controversial topics as genetic engineering, euthanasia, computer technology, environmental issues, creation/evolution, fetal tissue research and AIDS.  Site offers articles, links and features leaders in the field. 

C.S. Lewis Society- Site contains numerous articles concerning mainly intelligent design and other issues by authors like J.P. Moreland, Phillip Johnson and Tom Woodward.  

Center for Science and Culture- A Discovery Institute program, the Center supports research by scientists and other scholars challenging various aspects of the Neo- Darwinian theory, developing the intelligent design theory and exploring the impact of scientific materialism on culture.  Site offers articles and news reports.  

Institute for Creation Research- ICR equips believers with evidence of the Bible's accuracy and authority through scientific research, educational programs, and media presentations, all conducted within a thoroughly biblical framework. Site offers articles and booklets. 

Intelligent Design and Evolution Awareness Center (IDEA)- The mission of the IDEA center is: To promote, as a scientific theory, the idea that life was designed by an intelligence; To educate people about scientific problems with purely natural explanations for the origins and evolution of life; To challenge the philosophical assumptions of Darwinism, naturalism, and materialism; to facilitate discussion, debate, and dialogue concerning these issues in a warm, friendly, and open atmosphere where individuals feel free to speak their personal views. Reasons to Believe- International and interdenominational science-faith think tank providing powerful new reasons from science to believe in Jesus Christ. Site offers article, audio, video, newsletter, radio and lecture archives.

The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences- The central scientific focus of CTNS is on developments in physics, cosmology, evolutionary biology, and genetics, with additional topics in the neurosciences, the environmental sciences, and mathematics. With regard to the theological task, CTNS engages in both Christian and multi-religious reflection. The Christian theological agenda focuses on the various doctrinal loci of systematic theology.
