Bay Leaf Baptist Church and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary present this year’s Christmas concert. The free event at Bay Leaf Baptist will take place on December 3 at 7:00 pm, and Southeastern will host their free concert on December 8 at 7:00 pm.
Both Bay Leaf Baptist and Southeastern Seminary will combine to perform recent worship songs as well as familiar carols. These performances will be composed of choirs from Southeastern and Bay Leaf Baptist, and they will be accompanied by the Southeastern Orchestra. At both events the concert will consist of four movements: Welcoming the King, The Virgin and her King, Announcing the King, and Worshipping Christ, the King.
The productions will also include favorites from Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, as well as instrumental preludes and fanfares performed by Southeastern musicians and guests. Specific to the Southeastern performance, Daniel Akin will be reading the Christmas Scriptures and will tell the story of Christ’s Incarnation.
The mission of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ by equipping students to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Southeastern is an institution of higher learning and a Cooperate Program ministry of the Southern Baptist Convention.
