On Monday, September 27, 2010 approximately 80 people gathered to participate in "Film Night:Critiquing Films in Light of Worldview and Cultural Issues: An Introduction." Dr. Bruce A. Little, Professor of Philosophy at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Center Director lectured and guided discussion.
Film night at the Center is designed primarily to view significant films or portions of films (not necessarily recent films) in order to learn how to critique films in light of worldview issues and also to see how our culture answers (or does not answer) the important questions of life. In the end, we want to develop critical film-watching habits so that as Christians we will understand our culture and be able to speak more effectively to that culture.
