


Danny Akin is the president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a gifted expositor and an unflagging advocate of Great Commission ministry. His preaching and teaching ministry takes him around the world. He has written a number of books, including two commentaries. He lives in Wake Forest, N.C., with his wife Charlotte. They have four sons, three daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren.
Matt Carter serves as the lead pastor of The Austin Stone Community Church. He desires to see the church become an advocate for the welfare of the city of Austin has led to the creation of a network that exists to actively pursue the redemption and renewal of the city for the advancement of the gospel. In addition to pastoring at The Austin Stone, Matt is a cancer survivor, co-author of For the City, Creation Unraveled: The Gospel According to Genesis and speaker for camps and conferences nationwide. Matt is married to Jennifer, and they have three children.
Dhati Lewis is the Lead Pastor at Blueprint Church in Atlanta, GA. Dhati, born and raised in California, moved to Texas for his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas and his graduate studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. Dhati’s passions are for church planting and discipleship. He launched The Rebuild Initiative in 2011 to answer the call to see more churches planted in the urban context. Dhati is married to Angie and they have six children.
C.J. Mahaney leads Sovereign Grace Ministries in its mission to establish and support local churches. He serves on the Council of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals. Mahaney’s books include Humility, Living the Cross-Centered Life, and Sex, Romance and the Glory of God. He is also the editor of Worldliness and Why Small Groups? and has coauthored other books in Sovereign Grace Ministries’ Pursuit of Godliness series.
Tony Merida currently serves two positions: pastor of Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, NC and Associate Professor of Preaching at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. After previously serving as pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS and Dean of Chapel and Assistant Professor of Preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Merida, sensing the call to plant a church, moved with his family to the Raleigh area to pastor and teach. Tony is married to Kimberly and they have four children.
Russ Moore is Professor of Christian Theology and Ethics at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition, he serves as the President of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. He received his M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from Southern Seminary. He is the author of Tempted and Tried, Adopted for Life and The Kingdom of Christ. Russ and his wife Maria have four sons.
