Southeastern's Intramurals Department seeks to promote spiritual growth through physical activity and fellowship with the goal of encouraging God-called men and women to fulfill their preparation for vocational service.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interest of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 2:3-5

If you have any questions about Southeastern's intramurals, feel free to stop by the Student Life Office or contact us at or (919) 761-2305.

Intramurals Offered
The Intramural department desires to offer a wide variety of sports and events for the Southeastern community.  During the Fall 2011 semester there will be flag football, corn toss, dodgeball, and wallyball, to name a few. Please check out our new website to see the official list of what is offered.

Who Can Play?
Anyone participating in an intramural sport must be either an active student, student's spouse, student's child, alumni who has paid all Southeastern fees, staff, faculty or someone officially auditing a course at Southeastern. All participants must be at least 16 years of age unless posted otherwise for a specific function.

Medical Considerations
Participation in all intramural activities is completely voluntary; therefore, Southeastern and its staff assume no responsibility for injuries received during such participation. It is the responsibility of each participant to be aware of the demands and inherent dangers of the sports in which he or she participates. Each participant should evaluate his or her health relative to these factors. It is highly recommended that each participant has a medical examination prior to participation. Each participant will sign a risk and release form prior to playing an intramural sport.

What is expected of our Athletes?

The Student Life Office believes good sportsmanship to be an extremely important quality and seeks to encourage its development. Therefore, Student Life will neither condone, nor allow, unsportsmanlike conduct in its programs.

Sign Up Online:
To create a team or sign up with one, please go to Create an account and form teams through the website. All players must fill out a Risk and Release form before being eligible to play.
Note: It is best to be signed up by a Captain on a team; filling out the Free Agent Form means you will be placed on a team at Intramural Office's discretion.

Assumption of Risk and Release Form:

Note: All participants will be required to fill out a new Risk and Release form for the new (2011-2012) school year.

Assumption of Risk and Release Form:   This form is to be filled out and submitted for every person playing any of our sports. One form per school year is required, prior to the first game played.
