Ledford Student Center

The Ledford Student Center at Southeastern Seminary was renovated and expanded in 1980 as a result of generous donations made by Mr. and Mrs. Hubert F. Ledford and has served the Southeastern family well for the past 25 years. During this time, the Ledford Center has operated as the hub of Southeastern student activity providing opportunities for fellowship, recreation and information. Currently, the Ledford Center is home to the Dean of Students Office, Student Life Office, International and Ministry Referral Office, and Financial Aid and Employment Services Office. Other services in the building include: The Court Cafe, The Locker (mailroom and copy center), LifeWay, Cannon Gymnasium and the Fitness Center.

Fitness Center
The Ledford Fitness Center offers a variety of exercise options to help Southeastern students maintain their overall physical health. The fitness center includes cardio and weight rooms featuring four treadmills, two exercise bikes, one elliptical, one stair-stepper, various weight machines, free weights, weight benches, television, and much more! Other services offered include men's and women's locker rooms with, showers, saunas, and lockers, as well as two racquetball courts.

All students, faculty, staff and their dependents that are over the age of 16 and have a valid student or dependent identification card are welcome to use the fitness center.  Guests may use the fitness center provided that they are signed in according to the Ledford Center guest policy and meet all of the appropriate age requirements. There is a trained Ledford Center employee available for your assistance during all hours of operation. The Locker
The Locker is located in the Ledford Student Center and offers stylish Southeastern merchandise for students, families, and the community.  Along with logo and apparel The Locker offers a variety of services: copy services, including photocopying, binding, and faxing.  We provide mail boxes for students residing in Goldston, Lolley, and Bostwick Halls and additionally provide outgoing mail service for letters and packages for USPS at 3:00 p.m. each day. Gymnasium
The Cannon Gymnasium is a multi-purpose facility located on the upper level of the Ledford Student Center which is host to various intramural sports, special campus-wide events and everyday student use. All students, faculty, staff and their dependents that are over the age of 16 and have a valid student or dependent identification card are welcome to use the gym. Guests are welcome in the gym but must be signed in at the front desk according to the Ledford Center guest policy. Various balls and other gym equipment are available at the front desk to be checked out with a valid student identification card. Due to certain campus-wide events and group reservations, at times, the gym is not available for general student use.

Reservations
The Ledford Center offers the opportunity for students and those associated with the seminary to reserve specific rooms for their use during special events. Any student in good standing may reserve the Ledford Student Center for an event that follows the mission of the center and benefits the students of Southeastern Seminary (charges may apply). In addition, the majority of participants must be students. We allow birthday parties, wedding receptions and showers; however, we do not allow lock-ins, outside organizations, yard sales or church meetings in the Ledford Student Center. In all cases, seminary-sponsored events receive first priority over individual or group events.

Please visit the Student Life Office to obtain all the forms necessary for your reservation and return those forms to the Student Life Office at least one month in advance of your event. Job Opportunities
There are many opportunities for employment in the Ledford Center. Each semester students are hired to work at the front desk, in the fitness center, with the intramural program, and in the mailroom. Our employees also help with the various Student Life events throughout the semester such as the coffee houses, cook outs, and the chili cook-off.  If you are an incoming or current student interested in working at the Ledford Center, please obtain and submit a completed Ledford Center Employment Application to Caleb Holland, Ledford Center Building Manager.  Please note that the Student Life Office is not responsible for hiring LifeWay Christian Bookstore employees.
