Mentoring the Women of SEBTS

What is Mentoring at SEBTS?

The Thrive Mentoring program at SEBTS is an opportunity provided for the women of SEBTS in which they may participate for one school year (two semesters) in intentional mentoring by select women associated with Southeastern. Southeastern ladies may select a mentor or be paired with one and the two will meet for the specific purpose of practical and spiritual guidance and growth.

Interested in being mentored?

Women interested in participating in the Mentoring Program should contact Lesley Hildreth, the Women’s Ministry Coordinator, at lhildreth@sebts.edu for more information on the mentors. After you have read about the available mentors, you’ll fill out a basic bio/intake form.

Click here for the mentoring intake form.

Once you’ve done all of that, we’ll work with you on establishing contact with your mentor and then let the two of you begin meeting. We’ll check in every few months to make sure all is well, but other than that, the mentoring relationship is up to you and your mentor. We’ve designed this program to allow you the freedom to focus where you wish. Your relationship with your mentor may be narrowly focused, honing in on one or two things in particular; or it might be broader.

Every now and then, a student realizes that the mentor she’s picked might not be the best fit. We easily handle that in our office, so if you feel as though you might not have picked the right person, just let us know and we’ll take care of it.
