Doctor of Philosophy

The Southeastern PhD

Through Southeastern's Ph.D program, students are sure to engage in exceptional scholarship by studying under premier evangelical scholars who have authored numerous significant works in their respective fields. Students will participate in advanced research that advances theological understanding for the sake of the church and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Students will also receive focused mentorship by an accomplished scholar who will guide in the process of publishing and presenting the student's research. The mentor will also aid the student in proposing a dissertation that will make a significant contribution to scholarship.

Focused Mentorship

The Southeastern PhD Program features a mentorship component integrated into the curriculum. A Major Professor oversees each student for the duration of the degree, including a full year of one-on-one mentorship at the end of the seminar phase.
