Magnolia Kitchen is Southeastern's eatery located in the Ledford Student Center. Under the leadership and culinary expertise of Chef Virginia Spencer, Magnolia Kitchen is serving up new and mouthwatering meals all week long. Come enjoy a delicious snack, a full meal, or an ice-cold beverage Monday-Saturday.


Magnolia Kitchen is open Monday – Friday from 7am-7pm, and on Saturday from 11:30am-6pm.

Meal service hours are:

Monday – Friday

Breakfast 7am-9:30am
Lunch 11:30am-2:30pm (Made-To-Order options are available at noon.)
Dinner 5pm-7:00pm


Brunch 11:30am-1:30pm
Dinner 5pm-6pm
Purchase a Meal Plan

We have a variety of meal plans available and are confident you will find the perfect fit for you. Your ID card will carry the amount of prepaid swipes associated with your meal plan. Whenever you are hungry, just head over to Magnolia Kitchen, swipe your card, and eat! Each swipe will provide you with one meal at Magnolia Kitchen. See below to find the perfect plan for you.

Unlimited plan

Eat as often as you’d like! The Unlimited Plan comes with unlimited swipes just for you.


Block plans

Choose the number of swipes that work best for you. You are also welcome to share swipes on this plan. Unused swipes do not carry over to the next semester.

*Block 190 is required for undergraduate students ages 25 or younger, single, and living in campus housing.

GO Bucks provide an additional way to personalize your meal plan. GO Bucks are extra dollars that can be added to your ID card and used as cash around campus at places like Magnolia Kitchen and the Library. GO Bucks can be added to any plan and leftover funds will carry over to future semesters.

Who is required to have a meal plan?
  • All single undergraduate students who live in campus housing and are 25 years old or younger are required to purchase the Block 190 Meal Plan. 
  • Please fill out this form to apply for an exemption. Approvals are only granted for specific situations (extreme dietary restrictions, work related restrictions, extreme financial restrictions, etc.) and students must reapply each semester.
How long does each meal plan last?
  • All meal plans last through the current semester. The meal plan will begin on the first day of classes and end on the graduation day of each semester.
Can I apply financial aid to my meal plan?
  • No, financial aid will not be applied to meal plans. However, all meal plans can be added to a NelNet payment plan through Accounting Services.
