Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) announces a new partnership for a 97 hour M.Div.-M.B.A. program in partnership with Cedarville University.
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) is pleased to announce its new M.Div./MBA degree in partnership with Cedarville University. The partnership, which begins effective immediately, creates a pathway for students to receive both their Master of Divinity at SEBTS and Master of Business Administration at Cedarville in a 97 hour program of study.
“Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary trains students to serve our Lord in their particular calling and vocation,” said Danny Akin, president of SEBTS. “This partnership with Cedarville University will enable us to equip men and women whom God has called to serve him in the workplace and business. I am excited about how God will prepare a new army of servants for gospel advance through this joint venture between our two excellent schools.”
The creation of the M.Div./MBA program provides students an opportunity to study business through a biblical lens. The goal of the program is to equip students to excel in personal standards and discernment, steward their God-given talents and resources, lead with a servant’s heart and gain kingdom influence through serving others.
“We are pleased to offer students from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary a pathway to adding an MBA degree with their Master of Divinity,” said Thomas White, president of Cedarville University. “This partnership will equip leaders who bring both outstanding theological training and excellent business skills to their ministry setting.”
Students can complete the M.Div./MBA program entirely online if desired and must complete 18 hours of credit in the M.Div. in Christian ministry at SEBTS before entering into the MBA program at Cedarville. The application fee will be waived for those applying to the MBA through this partnership. Cedarville will also offer a 15 percent discount on published course tuition rates. Those interested in pursuing the M.Div./MBA must have previously completed an undergraduate degree and be in good standing with the seminary.
