Pastor’s Center Name Changed to the Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary exists to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission.

One way that SEBTS serves the church is by serving pastors. The space which until now has been known as the Pastor’s Center will now be called “The Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership.” This change represents the fuller emphasis of The Center, not just on pastoring, but also on preaching and leadership.

The Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership exists to equip and encourage pastors to lead healthy, disciple-making churches for the glory of God around the world. The Center represents an intentional bridge between the seminary and the local church.

Southeastern believes leadership and ministry skills development are responsibilities of discipleship and thus should be an intentional part of every local church ministry. The Center for Preaching and Pastoral Leadership offers assistance, resources and training to Southeastern students, as well as to pastors and churches to further equip them to serve well in the crucible of real-life ministry.
