About the Equip Network
The EQUIP Network desires to empower and educate faithful disciples through local churches and ministry organizations. If you are an individual seeking credit through EQUIP, we would be happy to help your church or ministry organization become an EQUIP Partner. You will not be able to take EQUIP Practicums unless your church is an EQUIP Partner.
Any qualifying participants within your local church or ministry organization who have applied and been accepted at SEBTS. We recommend that participants become members of your church/ministry organization before participating.
The EQUIP Office does not supply SEBTS students for any courses. While you are encouraged to submit your application, those Churches/Ministry Organizations who do not have credit-seeking students ready to participate will receive a “Pending Approval” status and will not be approved until students are actively ready to participate.
Students can gain up to 36 hours of credit depending on his/her degree that includes both field ministry and practicum courses. See the “About” page for more details.
- Tuition and Fees
All EQUIP courses are 3 credit hours and cost the normal rate of tuition. See the tuition and fees page to learn more.
Only one student is needed to offer an EQUIP Practicum course.
Spring, Summer, or Fall Semesters
While you have the freedom to offer any of the EQUIP courses, it is best to identify courses that apply towards a students’ degree plan. Review the Academic Catalog to determine the courses that will apply towards the students’ respective degree.
End of the Semester
Yes, but this is reserved for Practicum Instructors. We provide Practicum Instructors with a modest stipend of $500 for the first student in a given course and $150 for each student thereafter as a token of our appreciation. (Total compensation is capped at $3000 per course). Note that instructors can expect to receive this stipend within 2 months of finishing the course.
Once the EQUIP Network Office receives the Student Grade Submission Form from the Mentor or Instructor, the student’s grades will be submitted to the Registrar. Each student must also complete a course evaluation on Moodle for each practicum in order to view their grade. Grades will be posted no later than two weeks after the final day of the semester.
