Featured Resource: Scott Pace Helps Churches Address Leadership Famine

For Scott Pace, provost of Southeastern Seminary, raising up the next generation of vocational ministers should be a priority in the local church. As a seminary professor and former pastor, Pace has witnessed firsthand a general decline in the Church’s efforts to invite, encourage, and equip Christians to discern their callings — particularly callings to vocational ministry. Even as an emphasis on vocational ministry callings continues to decline, churches are currently experiencing a rise in pastoral vacancies and navigating an unprecedented leadership crisis.

In a recent article for the Biblical Recorder, Pace offers a pathway forward to churches and church leaders, suggesting five practices to shift a church’s culture toward calling out those who have been called to vocational ministry.
