EdD in Christian Education

The Doctor of Education program makes use of a learner-centered delivery model, including both on-campus seminars and virtual classroom presentations. This delivery model also features the cohort approach, working in a collaborative learning environment that is supportive and engaging. These cohorts meet on campus four times per year for week-long intensives. The Doctor of Education program has many excellent professors who are experienced in the fields of ministry, higher education, psychology, and curriculum development.

The Doctor of Education program provides an atmosphere of rigorous study for men and women called to serve in churches, denominations, schools, colleges, seminaries, universities, and para-church organizations. The curriculum addresses both the teaching and administrative aspects of educational leadership.

The EdD is an advanced, terminal research degree. Students in this program design and carry-out their own research study in order to discover more about a particular educational component from a biblical perspective. The end product is a dissertation which makes an original contribution to the student’s field of study. Meeting the highest standards of academic excellence, the dissertation will have valuable recognition across denominational, political, and religious lines.
