Philosophy of Religion

This degree is a preparatory degree for those who wish to do work in philosophical theology or in cultural missions.

The Master of Arts in Philosophy of Religion prepares persons for entrance into a PhD program for the purpose of teaching within an academic setting or working within church ministries designed to have an effective voice in the public square.

  • Teach apologetics in the local church

  • Help grow a conversational outreach ministry through the local church

  • Teach apologetics at the undergraduate level

  • Pursue a Ph.D. in an effort to become a professor

Additional Information

Students applying to this program must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least a 3.0 GPA, as well as 6 hours of theological studies (an introductory philosophy course is required). All of the prerequisites are at the baccalaureate level or higher.
