This degree is a preparatory degree for those who wish to do work in philosophical theology or in cultural missions.
The Master of Arts in Philosophy of Religion prepares persons for entrance into a PhD program for the purpose of teaching within an academic setting or working within church ministries designed to have an effective voice in the public square.

Teach apologetics in the local church
Help grow a conversational outreach ministry through the local church
Teach apologetics at the undergraduate level
Pursue a Ph.D. in an effort to become a professor
Additional Information
Students applying to this program must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least a 3.0 GPA, as well as 6 hours of theological studies (an introductory philosophy course is required). All of the prerequisites are at the baccalaureate level or higher.
