The Master of Education degree is a research-style degree designed for students licensed in teaching or who are in vocational teaching positions. Specifically, it is designed to equip students to grow in their teaching methods, understand learning theories, producing and assessing research, and develop varying approaches to leading others in an educational setting. At the end of the program, students will write a capstone thesis paper. Upon finishing this program, students would be prepared for entrance into a doctoral program for the purpose of teaching in higher education settings or entering academic administration.
