The Preaching specialization allows students to focus on advanced scholarship in the understanding and practice of preaching in the local church. Students research in the areas of sermon design, sermon delivery, the role of the sermon in worship, the place for preaching in the life of the church, etc. Graduates are prepared to serve as pastor-theologians or scholars contributing to the church’s understanding of preaching.
