H.B. Charles Jr. is the pastor-teacher at the Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church of Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida, and he has been teaching there since 2008. He has authored and coauthored several books, including “It Happens After Prayer,” “On Preaching,” “On Pastoring,” “The Difference Jesus Makes,” and “Power in the Pulpit,” and he blogs about life, preaching, church, books, etc. at hbcharlesjr.com. He is also the host of “The On Preaching Podcast” – a podcast dedicated to helping ministry leaders preach faithfully and clearly.

Dr. Pace has served in pastoral ministry for over 20 years in a variety of full-time and interim capacities in three states. He speaks regularly at conferences and training events that seek to equip pastors and church leaders. Prior to his vocational calling, Scott served in the corporate world as an accountant and the private sector as a business manager. He and his wife, Dana, have been married since 1999 and have four children – Gracelyn, Tyler, and Tessa, and Cassie.

Dr. York is dean of the School of Theology and the Victor and Louise Lester Professor of Christian Preaching. Hershael York has served as the 11th dean of Southern Seminary’s School of Theology since 2018, and as the Victor and Louise Lester Professor of Christian Preaching since 1999. Before joining the faculty of Southern Seminary, York pastored Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and the First Baptist Church of Marion, Arkansas. He is married to Tanya, and they have two children. Dr. York is the Pastor Emeritus of Buck Run Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.
