Dr. Landon Dowden

Associate Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministry, SEBTS

Dr. Dowden has taught at Southeastern as an adjunct faculty member for the past 10 years; he currently serves as lead pastor of Hebron Baptist Church and will be teaching part-time at Southeastern as associate professor. Dowden is a three-time graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) where he earned a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Philosophy with a focus in preaching.

Pastor David Sons

Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church North Augusta

David Sons serves as the Senior Pastor at the First Baptist Church of North Augusta, SC. As a Southeastern alumnus, David has a heart to help fulfill the Great Commission through preaching and church revitalization. He has nearly 20 years of pastoral ministry experience in churches across South Carolina. David and his wife Allyson live in North Augusta with their four children.

Dr. Scott Pace

Provost, Dean of Graduate Studies, Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Ministry, Jim Shaddix Chair of Expository Preaching, SEBTS

Dr. Pace has served in pastoral ministry for over 20 years in a variety of full-time and interim capacities in three states. He speaks regularly at conferences and training events that seek to equip pastors and church leaders. Prior to his vocational calling, Scott served in the corporate world as an accountant and the private sector as a business manager. He and his wife, Dana, have been married since 1999 and have four children – Gracelyn, Tyler, and Tessa, and Cassie.
