Biography
Dr. Scott Kellum is Senior Professor of New Testament and Greek. He has taught at Southeastern Seminary since 2003 as elected faculty and several years prior as appointed faculty and as an adjunct. He is a native of Oxford, Mississippi and is married to Cathy Kellum, and they have four adult children. Dr. Kellum has earned a BA from Ole Miss, an MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a PhD from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has published numerous books and articles on various New Testament topics, the latest of which are the Book of Acts in the EGGNT and 40 Questions About the Text and Canon of the New Testament (with Dr. Quarles). Some of his books have been translated into Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Farsi (upcoming). He has also been active with Southeastern’s Global Theological Initiatives program. He has been to Vietnam eight times, Uganda twice, the Dominican Republic once, and independently to Romania twice. He and his wife live in rural Johnston County, where they enjoy quiet country living.
