A Return to The Holy Land: Register for the 2025 Israel Study Tour by Aug. 28

Tickets are still available for Southeastern’s biennial study tour of Israel where students, staff, faculty, and friends of the seminary will experience firsthand the sites of the land where the prophets preached and Jesus walked. Registration closes on August 28 for this biblical, historical, and archaeological tour, which will take place during winter break, December 26, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Israeli-Palestinian conflicts, Southeastern postponed its last two trips until local authorities confirmed it was safe for tourism to resume in the country. Now six years after its last tour to the Holy Land, Southeastern will be partnering with Signature Tours to offer this once-in-a-lifetime experience to the Southeastern community.

“Traveling to Isarel allows one to walk where Jesus walked and visit sites that are significant to the Christian,” noted President Danny Akin. “I have taken more than a dozen trips to Israel, and I have never had anyone say to me that they were disappointed. As Israel opens back up, I hope that many will join us. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

On the tour, participants will visit sites of biblical and historical significance and hear corresponding lectures from Southeastern faculty, including President Akin; Allan Moseley, senior professor of Old Testament and Hebrew; and Chuck Quarles, research professor of New Testament and biblical theology. Judson College and Southeastern Seminary students who participate will also receive a discounted rate and are eligible to earn course credit for one of two related courses.
