Christian Leadership

The PhD degree at Southeastern is an advanced research degree in the area of Christian Leadership. The PhD in Christian Leadership is delivered in a modified residency format. Each seminar is delivered over the normal period of other seminars and contains an on-campus experience as well as supplemental asynchronous components before and after the on-campus experience.

Seminars

Below is a list of the prescribed seminars for this PhD specialization. Students must demonstrate proficiency in one research language before beginning their fifth seminar. Four seminars (16hrs) will be completed during the Foundations Stage of the PhD program of study and the remaining four seminars (16hrs) during the Advanced Stage. Seminars may be completed in any order, though IND 9400 is to be taken as one of the last seminars needed (either the 7th or 8th seminar).

  • LED 9320 – Biblical Foundations for Leadership
  • LED 9330 – Fundamentals of Leadership
  • LED 9335 – Leadership, Management & Organizational Theory
  • LED 9340 – Qualitative & Quantitative Methods in Data Analysis
    • May be substituted with another seminar in the student’s research interest with approval from the major professor and Ph.D. Director.
  • LED 9355 – The Personal Life of the Leader
    • May be substituted with another seminar in the student’s research interest with approval from the major professor and Ph.D. Director.
