Ministry Leadership

The Ministry Leadership track is designed to equip students with the competencies necessary to serve as effective servant leaders in churches, Christian organizations, and other contexts. The MDiv Ministry Leadership track builds upon the requirements of the MA in Ministry Leadership, giving the student an opportunity to do focused study in a particular area of ministry. Prior to registration each semester, students should meet with their academic advisor.

The M.Div. with Ministry Leadership builds on the requirements of the M.A. with Ministry Leadership, giving the student an opportunity to do focused study in a particular area of ministry. Prior to registration each semester, students should meet with their academic advisor.

In addition to the M.Div. Core, students specializing in ministry leadership must complete 12 credit hours from a specific list of ministry leadership courses and 3 hours of electives in the area of ministry leadership.

Program Courses

Some people describe seminary as a hoop to jump through, but I found my time at Southeastern to be a life-giving, spiritually edifying experience. Southeastern encouraged in me an undeniable love for God’s word. No amount of effort is too great to understand it or communicate it to someone else. What I saw, exemplified both in the classroom and even just in the culture of Southeastern, is the non-negotiable nature of the Great Commission. Southeastern emphasized that all of us are called to go in some capacity, and that we are most like Christ when we go to hard places.
