Housing Office
Southeastern is committed to providing a variety of housing options to meet the needs of our single students. Southeastern offers dorm-style spaces, apartments with shared bedrooms, and apartments with private bedrooms, as well as opportunities to rent an entire apartment alone.
Rent plans for these options fall into two general categories – Flat Rate and Private Apartment. Under the flat rate rent plan, students pay a flat fee for rent and utilities. Roommates are assigned by the housing office, and a student’s rent does not fluctuate when roommates move in or out. Apartments are inspected four times a year for cleanliness. Under the private apartment rent plan, students rent the entire apartment themselves, paying the full rent price and setting up utilities in their name. No roommates are assigned, and there are no apartment inspections.
A refundable $300 occupant fee is required ten days before you move in, and pet-friendly apartments are available in Flaherty Farms. Use the flow chart below to discover which options are available to you and in which neighborhood they are located. Visit the neighborhood pages for more information about each option!
All students over 36 years old must live in private apartments – including one-bedroom units in the duplexes, two-bedroom units in Flaherty Farms, and two-bedroom units in McDowell.
Students 30-35 years old without roommates may live in the private apartments OR choose between shared apartment/shared bedroom units in Flaherty Farms/McDowell or shared apartment/private bedroom units in Flaherty Farms. Students 30-35 years old must share with others within this age range.
Students under 30 without roommates may also live in the private apartments OR choose between shared apartment/shared bedroom units in Flaherty Farms/McDowell or shared apartment/private bedroom units in Flaherty Farms.
